About Catena
The name Catena was first conceived during a walk through a Jasper Johns' exhibit at the Metropolitan Art Museum in Central Park in a spur of the moment visit on a summery Saturday afternoon. Johns created a series of works that were borne on the ideas of gravity and suspension bridges which he named Catenary. We were fascinated by the work and eventually inspired by its meaning.

Catena, a latin word, is the root for catenary. Both connote the idea of connection or connecting or bridging.

Technology bridges people together.

Well-designed websites make crucial connections — between businesses and customers, between thought and action, between founding principles and daily work. Increasingly, your website is your business, not just a platform for establishing a web presence.

As an interdisciplinary firm, Catena adapts to our clients’ needs, creating customized solutions utilizing design, technology, and strategic consulting to connect with your customer base, raise market awareness and grow your business.

Catena Services
Brand Imaging
At the moment you do not have any brand imaging. There are no colors, logo, distinct design features that are associated with your organization. You need these in order to create a solid identity. After this is created, we will showcase them on the website.

This is the process of understanding the essence of your organization and who you are as a brand. Then from that understanding, we create a visual identity with you and for you. It is more than just suggesting a color palette, crafting a logo, and selecting typography. Branding is the telling of ones story through signs and symbols. It is the process of projecting the very heart of an organization for the world.

Website Design & Development
We will provide you everything you need for a custom designed website without the extra functionality. This will start with us walking with you in the ideas phase, and we will continue with you through to the execution and actualization of the website. Here are a few services that are associated with the general design of the website:

Design: This will always be something that will set you apart from other sites. The decisions that are made before and during the design/development process determine what the site will look and feel like as a whole.

User Experience: This is the process of determining how the user will flow through the site or the logic of the site's navigation. Creating a smooth and efficient process for users will reduce the frustration and waiting as they navigate the site. We will help you determine where a click through is needed, if an extra page is needed, etc.

Information Architecture: How and where information is placed on a site is crucial. Keeping a site clean and organized will allow people to use a site with greater confidence and even serenity. In contrast, if a site is disorganized and cluttered, this will only evoke the opposite reaction.

Marketing
Getting your business product exposure on the web can be a daunting task. We provide adwords campaigning where we research and recommend specific keywords that your target market will search for and help you build online ad campaigns.

Strategy Consulting
Building a new website but not creating a well devised plan for your online business is like giving a person a set of tools to build a house and not having a blueprint to guide the builder. Quite often an organization simply lacks the resources to create a plan, so they don't. This is an unwise decision, especially under these market conditions for businesses.

We can help you thoughtfully process the questions listed above among others. Our goal is to formulate an overarching plan for your online business and how it will relate with your other business(s). We will document the plan and implementation process and can assist in implementation.
